Some crimes are so cruel, they leave you speechless.

In Cincinnati, Desean Brown murdered his ex-girlfriend, Nyteisha Lattimore, then threw her 3-year-old son, Nylo, into the Ohio River. Days later, he bought a body bag on eBay, ordered an Uber, and tried to dump Nyteisha’s remains off a bridge.

Nylo’s body was never recovered. Brown will spend the rest of his life in prison, but no sentence can ever undo what these two innocent lives endured.

We share their story not to shock, but to remember Nyteisha and Nylo, and to remind ourselves that silence in the face of violence only allows it to continue.
